We are waiting for the liner at this point. I got a call today and they will be coming on Thursday with the liner, pump and 5 trucks of water. By the time it is all in and clean and WARM, we will be swimming by next week... except we will be in Ocean City NJ... :) The reason those two pieces of picket fence are down, is because one has to be cut on the farther side, and the one closest will be a gate.

This is the stone work my husband has been working on for the last 2 weeks while he has been on vacation. This is harder than it looks. I tried to put like two pieces of stone down and it didn't fit just right, it is like a giant puzzle. He made the patio part, the walls and the steps. He has a little more to do on the steps. He is going to have them go all the way up. All the stone has been picked from our fields. I helped pick some a few months before out of our corn field before we plowed it. We have just giant piles of stone lying around- not so good for planting, but convenient to have when you are building something. The boys and I and Chip ride the tractor down to the piles, put a bunch in the bucket, and then drive back to this area to dump it and then assemble the walls.

Jules, that looks AMAZING. Chip, that rock wall is quite impressive. Feel free to come and visit anytime. :) So excited for you for that pool to be done!
WOW!!! That is beautiful! The cool part is you didn't have to pay for any of the rocks! His working vacation will pay off in the long run. You guys will have years of enjoyment :)
